Mistral’s video advocacy for a better solidarity-based blogosphere.

Bloggers Vs. Censorship, By Mistral
(Based on “Eïn Kafer Mischt Auf” video)

With the internet and especially with blogs, we gained the means to answer those who were used to have the right (almost exclusively) to speak to the masses. But still the threat is hanging over us and the battle to keep this vested benefit is not over yet … and certainly never will be.

At this point, Mistral’s video is probably one from the most exciting video advocacy I sow for a better solidarity between bloggers so that freedom of expression battle won’t be lost.

No doubt about the fact that without the support of everyone, this freedom we gained with the internet will not last as it has to. All over the world many bloggers have been arrested or sentenced to jail. Josh Wolf (US), Mohammed Abbou (TN), Zhang Jianhong (CN), Roukana Hamour (SY) … all of them have been in trouble just because they shared online what they know or what they think.

Many things still can be done to help for the release of those who still jailed and certainly much more steps to take to prevent such harms. And whatever it can be done, Mistral is so right when he thinks that it can not be as efficient as actions done by a much solidarity-based blogosphere.
