On may 18th 2007, the OpenNet Initiative held its first public conference about the Internet filtering worldwide at the Oxford Internet Institute of St. Anne’s College (University of Oxford).
During the conference, Director of Technical Research at Citizen Lab, Nart Villeneuve, has made a brilliant presentation concerning the current state of play of Internet filtering. Nart’s presentation was brilliant because it was also made with a very clear vocabulary. No technical complicated terms, nor difficult tech concepts that need network science knowledge to be understood.
Anyone who wants to have a clear idea about censorship and internet filtering worldwide should watch Nart’s presentation.

Le 18 mai 2007, OpenNet Iniative a tenu sa première conférence sur les questions de filtrage sur Internet à l’Université d’Oxford. La rencontre a eu lieu au sein de l’Internet Institute de St. Anne College.
Lors de cette conférence, le directeur des recherches techniques de Citizen Lab, Nart Villeneuve, a fait une brillante présentation sur l’état du filtrage Internet à travers le monde. La présentation est très claire. Ni termes techniques compliqués, ni concepts requérant des connaissances particulières en matière de réseaux.
